Receipts → Xero, the data not just the image
Xero (and Hubdoc) can store a receipt image, but you still need the figures in your books. ParseDoc extracts merchant, date, total and tax from each receipt into a CSV — ready to import as spend transactions or to speed up entry.
How it works
1. Convert the pile
Drop receipt photos or PDFs; each becomes a structured row with a confidence score.
2. Export the CSV
Merchant, date, total, tax and category per receipt — clean columns, ISO dates.
3. Bring into Xero
Use the spend/transaction CSV import, or paste figures while attaching the original — either way the typing is done.
Frequently asked questions
Hubdoc already does this?
Hubdoc handles single documents one at a time; ParseDoc batch-converts a whole pile to one CSV in seconds, useful for backlogs and cleanups.
Tax/GST/VAT?
Tax lines are extracted with amount (and rate where printed) — what you need for GST/VAT claims.
Stored anywhere?
No — in-memory processing only. Nothing retained.
